Knutsford Hosts lend helping hand at RHS Tatton

Hosts badgeKNUTSFORD Hosts were at the RHS Tatton show to spread the word about the town, its community, business and heritage.

Armed with copies of the new Town Guide and shopping map, the hosts were based in the Inspire Zone and were delighted with the positive reaction they received from visitors who travelled from all over the UK – and beyond.

“At one point there was such a demand for town guides that the rangers stepped in to help by transporting a supply by buggy,” said Sarah Flannery, project coordinator.

“The overwhelming response from visitors, whether familiar with Knutsford or not, was that they thought it was great to see volunteers work as ambassadors for the town and we hope we succeeded in encouraging many to visit again.”

Sarah worked with Carole Mullineux, Tatton Park’s business development manager, to introduce the hosts to the RHS.

“It was a pleasure to help Knutsford Hosts become part of this year’s RHS Flower Show at Tatton Park,” said Carole.

“Along with other local community groups, they were able to enjoy and contribute to this important event. We have a thriving volunteer programme at Tatton so we were especially pleased to be able to support this local volunteer initiative and continue to develop our links with the town.”
